About The Position

The Senior Practice Manager provides effective leadership and creates a culture of accountability for ambulatory care operations, focusing on excellence in patient and caregiver safety, quality assurance of care, patient experience, equity, patient access to care, financial stewardship (including budget management), caregiver engagement, and growth. This role involves making employment decisions such as hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action. The Senior Practice Manager also supports ancillary services like human resources and information systems. The scope of this position typically includes responsibility for and collaboration with 10-30 Physicians and/or APPs and 23-60 Caregivers, overseeing approximately 3-7 clinics. It may involve managing multiple specialties across a market, potentially requiring some to moderate travel. The role may also include oversight of up to 1-4 direct leader reports, requiring leadership and development fostering.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others to create a culture of accountability and teaming.
  • Develops vision for practice and executes plans to achieve vision.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and demonstrated ability to influence non-direct reports to meet department goals.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise, and coach front office staff.
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills, including proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet, and advanced computer applications (i.e. database or presentations).
  • Ability to problem solve and address issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field
  • 5 years leadership experience in a healthcare setting
  • 2 years leadership experience over multiple departments, budgets, and leaders
