About The Position

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Support the design, planning, development, and evaluation of advanced hardware and software technologies, including enhancements to existing products, for integration into current network systems. Recommend network architecture and evolution strategies aligned with corporate initiatives. This includes the evolution of cMME, Probes supporting a wide range of applications such as vSeGW, vFGW, MSC, AMF, and others—ensuring alignment with customer demand, technology trends, cost efficiency, and service reliability. Assess emerging hardware and software technologies for applicability to both cloud-based and purpose-built network infrastructures. Utilize or develop network modeling and planning methodologies to deliver cost-effective solutions and a forward-looking 3+ year technology roadmap. Define subsystem interfaces and allocate application resources for software-defined network elements across hybrid platforms—whether developed internally or sourced from vendors. Develop comprehensive test and implementation plans, including Methods and Procedures (M&P), for both in-house and vendor-supplied hardware/software solutions. Evaluate the impact of vendor solutions on Mobility and Wireline networks, applications, services, and overall system performance. May also engage in product engineering tasks such as design, development, M&P creation, and testing of network components. Lead the implementation of new designs and design modifications across partner organizations, ensuring alignment and seamless integration. Collaborate across cross-functional domain teams to define end-to-end system-level design requirements. Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle—from requirements gathering to deployment—working closely with Labs, Global Technology Planning, Operations, and Project Management teams.

Requirements

  • Intermediate-level experience in network applications and services.
  • Hands-on responsibilities that contribute to the delivery of network applications and end-to-end solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and core architectural principles into comprehensive technical planning solutions.
  • Subject matter technical knowledge within a discipline and sound understanding of AT&T technologies.
  • Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math, or equivalent experience.
