About The Position

The Senior Network Systems Engineer position at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) is a full-time role within the Information Technology department. The primary responsibilities include monitoring network performance, analyzing network traffic, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions to network problems. The engineer will also plan, design, and implement the campus network topology, create and maintain firewalls for network security, and develop strategies for network security. Additional responsibilities include managing the campus IP space, designing and maintaining VLANs and subnets, implementing core TCP/IP services, and planning the installation of network hardware. The role requires collaboration with IT management on disaster recovery solutions and involves research on new technologies.
