Epic Games is looking for a Sr. Network Physics Programmer with an aptitude and interest in distributed problem solving to work alongside the UE simulation team to enable large-scale simulations for users and players. The ideal candidate has an interest in physics, math, and distributed problem-solving and will be responsible for helping to implement new physics systems and maintain existing systems in Unreal Engine 5 and beyond, with a focus on distributed computing, focusing on enabling multiple simulated worlds to interact seamlessly. You will work closely with content creators and members of our engine team, building the world's premier game physics engine technology and helping to set a new standard in simulation. In this role, you will Implement and maintain new systems within the Unreal Engine, focusing on scalable and performant solutions for: Distributed rigid body simulation Networked physics interactions Maintain the existing physics engine and ensure seamless integration with Unreal Engine. Work directly with the simulation teams to enable large-scale simulations Be forward-thinking by staying up to date on current techniques, research, graphics data, hardware, etc. Be a vision holder for the future of multi-solver, networked physics simulation in Unreal Engine. Collaborate with our game and project teams to create engaging content through simulation.
