About The Position

CACI’s Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to support an Air Force Modernization program. The Cyber Security Operations Engineer is a senior-level role responsible for the cyber security operations and maintenance of complex network infrastructures within both classified and unclassified Air Force base area networks. This position requires extensive expertise in network engineering, security protocols, and advanced troubleshooting to ensure the highest levels of network performance, reliability, and security.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related work experience (HS diploma or associate degree plus 10+ years of experience performing supporting large, complex DoD networks with focus on cybersecurity may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree)
  • Direct O&M experience of Air Force Base Area Networks with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC); CCNP Security or CISSP or equivalent
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience managing telecommunications and/or data center projects with a focus on cybersecurity
  • Certifications such as CASP+, CEH, or GCIH

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day cybersecurity operations of network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex network security issues
  • Implement and manage robust network security measures to protect classified and unclassified data
  • Conduct STIG assessments and remediate as required
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices
  • Ensure all network operations comply with Air Force security standards and regulations
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential threats
  • Develop and implement incident response plans for network security breaches
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, security procedures, and incident reports
  • Prepare and present reports on network security performance, projects, and improvements to senior management
