Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in telecommunications working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer 2/3 routers, and data services.

Nice To Haves

MBA or Master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
Knowledge of statistical process control and process improvement, including demonstrable implementation.

Responsibilities

Manage operation of the global physical network, optical infrastructure.
Understand dataplane flows and performance against both steady-state, and planned capacity failures, and partner with design and software teams to validate, improve, and understand network dataplane flows, through automation and tooling.
Provide workflow support for capacity-related workflows in partnership with build teams, engage in development and prioritization for the safety layers that protect the production network from issues.
Own leadership and management of the daily operation of critical network infrastructure, including routers and transport systems.
Help develop and deliver ideas for physical network operations and transform the team onto that roadmap.
