About The Position

The Senior Network Engineer at Optum Services Inc. is responsible for designing and implementing computer and information networks, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, and extranets. The role involves managing secure and efficient Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions, evaluating network requirements, configuring VPN technologies, and ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide advanced technical support for VPN-related issues, maintain documentation, and provide training on best practices. The position also requires staying updated with the latest technology and security protocols, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in an Engineer-related occupation.
• Experience in architecting and implementing solutions to meet security and connectivity requirements.
• Experience in configuring, deploying, and maintaining VPN technologies such as IPsec, SSL, and MPLS VPNs.
• Knowledge of data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Experience in evaluating and enhancing network performance.
• Experience in monitoring industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Technical support experience in diagnosing and resolving VPN-related issues.
• Experience in maintaining detailed documentation and providing training on best practices.
• Experience in network capacity maintenance to ensure scalability.
