About The Position

If so, we want you to join our team as a Senior Network Engineer! Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is immediately hiring a Senior Network Engineer to support operations with our Minotaur Business Unit located in Jacksonville, FL. As our Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems for our Minotaur systems and associated networks. You will work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and develop customized solutions that meet their specific requirements. The selected candidate will be required to perform most of the work onsite.

Requirements

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on system setup and integration
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US level Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Performing system setup and integration, including hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers and workstations
  • Independently provides problem resolution and technical support for our Minotaur systems and associated networks
  • Provides support and analysis for the design, validation, and configuration management of Minotaur systems
  • Administers operational user's system access and assists governments security team to meet security posture
  • Monitors system performance to support future development backlog, backup transitions, and mitigation planning
  • Provides on-site user support and gathering of system feedback to provide customer insights to management
  • Designs and plans network systems.
  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  • Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • Conducts testing of network systems.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  • Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
