Requirements

Experience: 5+ years primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches.
5+ years primary role designing, architecting routed and switched networks.
2+ years as senior or lead engineer in planning, designing, and building software defined networks.
3+ years DoD environment.
Certifications: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level III CASP+ CE CCNP Security CISA CISSP (or Associate) GCED GCIH CCSP
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering or Equivalent (Required)
Clearance: Must possess a Secret clearance

Responsibilities

Configure and install various network devices and services.
Monitor and analyze network performance and resource utilization to identify trends and potential problems.
Develop and implement capacity planning strategies to ensure that the network can meet the needs of the organization.
Apply current and emerging network design principles and protocols to design, implement, and maintain enterprise networks.
Experience with network virtualization technologies.
Experience with multi-tenant network architectures.
Knowledge and understanding of a width variety network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors.
Experience with scripting languages, such as Python and Perl, for automating network tasks and responding to network threshold events.
Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities.
Manage the network connectivity at all VIP/GO quarters.
Implement and manage network connectivity and transport across all classification levels.
Manage and perform the installation, maintenance, and removal of all equipment in accordance with JSP-approved standards and architecture drawings, to include encryption devices, VoIP devices, and VoSIP devices, and auxiliary power equipment (i.e., Uninterrupted Power Supply).
Manage and perform life-cycle maintenance for all transport devices and supporting equipment.
Manage and perform the patching and cabling for JSP devices located in VIP/GO quarters.
