About The Position

The objective of this position is to provide operational support to the enterprise-wide network infrastructure. This is achieved by designing, implementing, and supporting various local area network (LAN) and wide area networking (WAN) technologies within a large and diverse enterprise network environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of recent experience as a network engineer
• 5+ years of recent experience supporting a worldwide network with multiple data centers
• Experience with IP Multicasting including PIM and IGMP
• Deep familiarity with Cisco routing and switching platforms
• Deep familiarity with IP routing protocols including BGP and OSPF
• Working knowledge of Linux (Red hat/CentOS)
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Cisco FWSM firewalls
• Experience with F5 load balancers
• Experience with log management/log analysis applications (i.e., Splunk, ELK stack)
• Strong problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Banking or Financial Industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• design, configure, install, monitor, and support various networking hardware and software solutions that support business applications
• Monitor the network environment and alerts to maintain high availability and system performance
• Lead the planning, configuration and installation of various network infrastructure technologies including switching, routing, firewalling, and VPN
• Evaluate new technologies, compile comparative data, and make recommendations to management for improved systems performance and availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve highly technical problems in a complex network environment
• Respond to after-hours reports of major problems as required
• assist in the continuous design, configuration and implementation of enterprise network security systems, policies, and mechanisms
• Assist in the definition and implementation of security policies and procedures
• Ensure corporate data security and integrity
