The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for day-to-day network infrastructure and server operations as well as assisting with IT HelpDesk as a Level 3 resource.
Network Design & Implementation: Plan, configure, implement and support scalable, and secure network solutions to meet business needs.
Evaluate new technologies and recommend upgrades or replacements for legacy systems.
Network Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud-based networks.
Oversee configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection systems (IPS/IDS), and VPNs.
Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, such as PCI.
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Conduct root cause analysis for network outages and implement corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Generate reports on network performance and security metrics.
Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT initiatives and projects.
Work with vendors to ensure timely deliverables and positive outcomes.
Responsible for infrastructure installation and maintenance, patch management for network equipment and servers, Opti9 backup and Opti9 DR Testing, and configuration of all hardware in Zoho Site 24x7.
Responsible to provide daily monitoring of Zoho Site 24x7, open tickets based on outages, work to resolve incidents and report incidents in daily scrum.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level networks.
Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies (e.g., VLAN, STP, VTP).
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools (e.g., Cisco preferred).
Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark, Site 24x7).
Strong understanding of cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and SD-WAN technologies.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher (e.g., CCIE).
