About The Position

Join a high -performing senior -level networks team tasked with architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining a large -scale, mission -essential multi -agency network infrastructure. This environment demands fault -tolerance, low latency, and strict security compliance, supporting several programs under a unified set of agency requirements. You’ll play a key role in shaping and sustaining secure, scalable, and resilient networking environments across data centers, transport layers, and rack -level infrastructure. This is a hands -on, on -site engineering position with opportunities for leadership, innovation, and critical mission impact. This is a critical infrastructure role within a dynamic and innovative technical environment. Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in network engineering, architecture, and system maintenance.
  • Hands -on expertise with Juniper (preferred) and/or Cisco networking platforms.
  • Proficiency with key protocols and technologies:
  • TCP/IP, IPv4, UDP, TLS, VPLS, GRE
  • OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
  • EVPN over BGP/VXLAN or MPLS/VXLAN
  • Multicast, STP, VLANs, Trunking
  • LAN/WAN configurations and firewall/ACL security controls
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Security+ or CISSP certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field – or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE).
  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP).
  • Experience scripting in Bash, Python, etc.
  • Background in Linux/BSD system networking and administration.
  • Familiarity with multicast protocol design and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated leadership or ownership in engineering design reviews.
  • Willingness to travel (CONUS and OCONUS).

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement secure, high -availability network solutions supporting mission -critical systems.
  • Maintain and optimize LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols, and transport layer technologies.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Juniper and/or Cisco network hardware and software.
  • Ensure compliance with strict government security and performance standards.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines and programs to support scalable enterprise needs.
  • Lead technical discussions and present solutions to internal stakeholders and government customers.
