About The Position

SAIC is looking for a Senior Network Engineer. Job Description: Install, configure, and maintain scalable network devices such as Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. Design and implement secure network access solutions and managing security policy using Cisco ISE to meet organizational requirements. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure system availability and reliability. Collaborate and partner with other IT platform teams to support and optimize network operations and engineering. Implement and manage network security architecture including network security patching and upgrades, security baselines, compliance, and hardware and software maintenance. Provide level 2/3 escalation support and troubleshooting to resolve ServiceNow incidents and tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking administration, information technology, or a similar field preferred.
  • 5 + years of experience in Enterprise Networking.
  • 2 + years of experience with Cloud PaaS and/or IaaS (Azure).
  • Strong understanding of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN.
  • CCNA / CCNP / CCIE certification preferred.
  • Routing Platforms - Cisco ISR, ASR, CSR.
  • Switching Platforms - Cisco Catalyst & Nexus.
  • Knowledge of Network Security, VPN, ACL, DMVPN, IPSEC, NAC, MAB, DOT1X, and Encryption Standards.
  • Security Platforms - Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, ASA, Secure Firewall Management Center.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud Networking, Fundamentals, and Security best practices: Public (Azure) and Private (Kubernetes) Cloud Technologies.
  • Knowledge of Azure architectural principles and key networking services such as MS Azure VNET, VNET-Peering, Private Link, vWAN, Express Route, Firewall, Load Balancer.
  • Knowledge of F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM).
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to identify, deploy, and manage complex networking systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA / CCNP / CCIE certification preferred.
