Working independently, the Senior Network Engineer plans, designs and develops local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization, participating in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This position will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems and provide end-user training. The principal business outcome for this position is the stability and integrity of GameStop’s data network services. This senior level role is characterized by increased levels of independent work to be performed, more complex engineering work, elevated extent to which process recommendations are expected, increased experience levels required, and mentoring responsibilities. An associate in this position may interact with his or her supervisor as needed by either. Most activities can be completed without a supervisor’s advance approval. Mentoring and leading team activity is a key skill to this role. This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX 5 days per week.
