About The Position
This role is a critical member of the GBS Network & Technical Security Team. The team supports a global network spanning 150 locations, ranging from corporate headquarters to major food production plants, warehouses, depots, and retail branches. The network's core infrastructure resides in data centres located in Dublin, Ireland, and Illinois, providing a highly resilient network environment. Glanbia has embarked on a significant digital transformation with a Cloud-first strategy, necessitating major advancements in Network & Network Security technologies. This role actively participates in this evolution program on a day-to-day basis. The network plays a crucial role in transmitting data for business-critical applications such as M365, Teams, video conferencing, collaboration tools, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Controls & Automation systems, and SAP. Separate teams within Glanbia support these applications and services, collaborating closely with the Network & Technical Security Team. Together, they ensure an efficient and highly resilient network backbone and foundation for these essential services.
