Micron is hiring a Network Engineer to be responsible for the operational health of Micron's data communications. You will support network infrastructure for IT Engineering sites, and oversee all facets of critical network functionality at one of Micron’s most important facilities. Responsibilities: Collaborate with functional areas and teams in developing and improving business processes with clear and agreed-upon business rules. Manage numerous projects based on Department and corporate objectives, and monitor process stability through ongoing review of performance metrics. Lead and collaborate with various engineering groups to optimize current processes and align the network to improve the manufacturability, yield, quality, and cost performance of products. Work with the process integration team to implement and integrate new/improved process workflow and maintain proper documentation. Communicate project strategy, status, and actions through meetings, presentations, and reports to team members and management. Collaborate with the global network teams to integrate Micron standards and proven methods into network builds at local sites.

Requirements

  • BS Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years of experience as an IT Network Engineer with 5+ years of proven experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Netscout and Arista (including VXLAN and CVP)
  • 5 years of experience deploying and coordinating Cisco-based wireless networks
  • 3 years of Low Voltage cabling design and implementation
  • 2 years of Network architecture and design

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience as an IT Network Engineer with 7+ years of proven experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Netscout and Arista (including VXLAN and CVP)
  • 7+ years of experience deploying and administering Cisco-based wireless networks
  • 5+ years of Low Voltage cabling design and implementation
  • 5+ years of Network architecture and design
