About The Position
The position involves managing firewalls, data security systems, and network monitoring solutions to ensure the protection of data and communications. The role requires proactive alerting on issues and compliance with network and infrastructure security best practices. The candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing new systems, upgrades, and patching while advising on the expansion of current infrastructure, including cloud opportunities. The role also includes maintaining infrastructure for networking, storage, and compute with a focus on minimal downtime, monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting networking issues, and recommending disaster recovery procedures. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to grow their knowledge of security, networking, and infrastructure best practices and help mentor staff in their project initiatives.
