As a member of the team, you have a direct impact on design and feature enhancements to keep our systems running smoothly. You also ensure that network operations are safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components and responding to network connectivity issues. Edge Network Operations (ENO) provides operational support, optimization, and automation for Internet Edge and several cloud products, including Google Cloud Interconnect (GCI), Cross Site Interconnect (CSI), Hosted Security Module (HSM) We are staffed with Network and Software Engineers spanning three time zones to ensure continuity and responsiveness. Our primary mission is to effectively and efficiently solve customer issues at the Internet Edge. Leveraging our unique support relationships and deep technical/organizational knowledge, we lead efforts to continuously improve our customers support experiences. The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible.   • Provide high-touch operational support for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers.
  • Help customers resolve issues with network services, and assist with troubleshooting issues with connectivity and performance.
  • Validate and test customer configurations in an interop lab environment.
  • Write workflow automation to improve the customer experience.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for escalated issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.
  • Experience with planning and designing large-scale networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.)
  • Understanding cloud computing, Linux server environments, network design and deployment, managing large-scale infrastructure.
  • Understanding of network operations at scale.
