We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Network and Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Global Infrastructure team to design, implement, and maintain Fuelcell Energy's network & communications infrastructure. The Senior Network and Cybersecurity Engineer will design, implement, and maintain our hybrid network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity across corporate offices, manufacturing facilities, cloud environments (Azure), and OT (Operational Technology) systems. This role combines technical expertise with strategic collaboration to optimize performance, security, and scalability.

  • Create a network systems and services roadmap to ensure consistent, reliable, and secure network performance within and between all company facilities, including the company's Azure Cloud environment.
  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and support of network technologies and services, including ISP Connectivity, Voice over IP, Azure Services, Firewalls, Switches, and Wireless Access Points.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance, proactively act on improvement opportunities, and address potential performance issues.
  • Closely collaborate with IT counterparts to ensure team awareness and knowledge of network systems and services through documentation, coaching, and daily interaction.
  • Contribute to the company's overall information systems and security architecture strategy and design.
  • Contribute to and sometimes lead infrastructure and security projects that rely on network services.
  • Provides second level support as needed to resolve connectivity and infrastructure related issues.
  • Assist designing and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
  • Document and perform change control activities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology, engineering, or related discipline. Extensive experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five to ten years of experience in network administration, spanning IT and OT network environments.
  • Demonstrable knowledge/experience in network design and implementation skills across LAN, WAN, and Cloud environments.
  • Hands on expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, wireless access points, DNS, DHCP, and other network services.
  • Experience in designing and deploying secure network architectures.
  • Expertise in secure network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Solid understanding of Security standards, such as NIST CSF, IEC 62443, and how they influence network and network services designs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of planning and managing complex technical projects.
  • Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, Azure Networking Specialist, or similar preferred.
