Requirements

  • Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Networking, or similar; or 8+ years of experience in network administration.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Expertise in Cisco routers, switches, ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, CSfC, Taclane encryption methods, VDI environments, Cross-Domain Solutions, CUCM, and VTCs.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards including government Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing network requirements.
  • Able to support 24/7 operations when necessary.
  • Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant IT certifications, particularly related to Cisco and network security (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, ITIL).
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) protocols and procedures.
  • Experience with virtual infrastructure, VDI/thin-client, and VoIP deployments.
  • Knowledge of EverFox, Juniper, and other network technologies.
  • Proficient in Help Desk and software applications (Jira, Service Now, Remedy).
  • Awareness of Command and Control (C2) applications.
  • Experience in ITIL framework and best practices (e.g., Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, Capacity Planning).
  • Customer-service oriented with a willingness to participate and assist.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a high-performing team of administrators, analysts, and technicians across the Area-of-Responsibility (AOR).
  • Ensure seamless, secure, and compliant network operations that support critical DoD communications.
  • Drive the planning, monitoring, and maintenance of LAN/BAN/WAN infrastructure, Unified Communications, VoIP, VTC, firewalls, and cryptographic systems.
  • Identify and prioritize network assignments and coordinate internal and external resources.
  • Communicate and manage network-related responsibilities to the team.
  • Participate in and provide feedback on network-relevant special projects.
  • Continuously monitor operational status of networks and communicate status and changes.
  • Track and resolve incidents regarding network infrastructure and related core services.
  • Evaluate new services, technologies, software, tools, and devices for performance monitoring.
  • Provide supervisory and administrative oversight of managed personnel.
  • Validate SOPs and TTPs associated with current knowledge of relevant network technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with custody and ownership of Government equipment.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, ASAs, Taclane encryption devices, and Cisco VoIP systems.
  • Implement and oversee Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) and Taclane encryption methods.
  • Support the maintenance of VDI environments for secure user access.
  • Manage Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), VTCs, and other Cisco VoIP systems.
  • Collaborate with the Cross-Domain Solutions team for secure information sharing.
  • Liaise with POCs and customers to understand network needs and provide solutions.
  • Follow guidance from the Operations Manager and adhere to established standards.
  • Participate in related solution technologies and special projects.
