The Senior Developer position is a critical role for a federal client, focusing on the development and maintenance of web applications and back-end architecture. The environment is primarily based on the Microsoft software stack, complemented by an Oracle back-end. As a Senior Developer, you will be part of a dedicated development team, where tasks are assigned during each sprint, emphasizing collaboration and communication, especially since the team operates in a distributed manner across various locations. This necessitates excellent verbal communication skills, as much of the work will be conducted virtually and through phone conference calls. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing highly scalable, usable, and distributed applications using Microsoft .NET technologies. You will implement strong Object-Oriented design principles and develop applications that are deployed to an Application Server. A strong knowledge of the Microsoft stack and Java development will be essential for troubleshooting technical issues, including error messages, software bugs, and availability concerns. You will also be tasked with enforcing standards and best practices within the team. Proactive communication with development, QA teams, and management is crucial to anticipate configuration management issues and processes. You will be expected to seek opportunities for improvements in internal team processes actively. Your contributions will foster an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization’s Agile project lifecycle, ensuring that the team meets its objectives efficiently and effectively.
