About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Naval Architect with experience in the offshore floating system EPC industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design, analysis, and integration of floating offshore structures, including semi-submersibles, spars, TLPs and FPSOs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience in offshore floating system (semi-submersibles, spars, TLPs and FPSOs) EPC or marine engineering.
  • Strong understanding of stability hydrodynamics systems.
  • Familiarity with class society rules (ABS, DNV, LR) and relevant industry standards (API, ISO).
  • Proven track record in delivering offshore floating system engineering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Proficiency in naval architecture software such as WAMIT, OrcaFlex, GHS, WINDOS, SESAM, MOSES, ANSYS AQWA or similar.
  • Strong theoretical and research background, programming and numerical analysis skills with experience in Matlab, Python, FORTRAN (preferred), or C / C++.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in team coordination and team building, engineering task planning, resource organization, and project execution.
  • Excellent communication and leadership client / third-party interface skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform naval architectural design and analysis for offshore floating structures, moorings and risers.
  • Conduct stability, hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and mooring structural analyses to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical input during concept selection, FEED, detailed design, and execution phases.
  • Review and approve drawings, specifications, and design deliverables prepared by internal teams or third parties.
  • Collaborate closely with topsides, deck and hull structural, riser and marine systems engineers to ensure fully integrated designs.
  • Perform motion response, mooring analysis, and weight control management for offshore floating system assets.
  • Prepare design documentation, calculation reports, and verification packages in accordance with class and client standards.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Interface with clients, classification societies (ABS, DNV, LR), and regulatory bodies to obtain design approvals and certifications.
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within the naval architecture team.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and graduates.
  • Support offshore installation and integration activities as required.
