Senior Municipal Engineer
About The Position
T&M Associates is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Municipal Engineer to join our growing Community and Land Development Market in New Jersey. Requirements
- B.S in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Municipal Engineering or related field.
- EIT certification required, PE license preferred.
- Fluency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
- Knowledge of roadway design elements, standards, and constructability methods.
- Proficiency in Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL) and Public Contracts Law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player and willingness to learn.
Nice To Haves
- PE license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for capital improvement projects (e.g., roadways, drainage, sewer, water systems, parks, and athletic fields).
- Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, independently manage smaller projects, and coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments of municipal infrastructure to verify compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review Planning & Zoning Board site plans and subdivisions; prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring successful project outcomes.
