About The Position

We’re launching a new TeamLogic IT office in the Palm Coast area and are making our first technical hire, a senior MSP engineer who wants real ownership, autonomy, and influence in building a managed services business the right way. This is not a backfill role and not a large-team MSP environment (yet). This is a founding technical role for someone who enjoys being the escalation point, shaping standards, and working directly with clients while the business grows. As our Senior MSP Engineer, you will be the primary technical authority for early clients and play a central role in defining how we deliver managed IT services. Early on, the role is hands-on and broad. Over time, it naturally evolves into technical leadership as we add clients and grow the team. If you enjoy solving complex problems, owning outcomes end-to-end, and having a real voice in how things are built, this role was designed for you.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in IT, with meaningful experience in an MSP environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Windows Server & Active Directory
  • Virtualization (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
  • Networking, firewalls, VPNs, security fundamentals
  • Familiarity with MSP tooling such as RMM, PSA, and documentation platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications are a plus, but real-world MSP experience matters more

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues across client environments
  • Design, implement, and support SMB IT environments including:
  • Microsoft 365 / Entra ID
  • Windows Server & Active Directory
  • Networking, firewalls, VPNs
  • Backup, recovery, and security solutions
  • Lead client onboarding, migrations, and infrastructure projects
  • Work directly with business owners and end users to understand needs and recommend solutions
  • Establish and document technical standards, processes, and best practices
  • Select, configure, and optimize MSP tools (RMM, PSA, documentation)
  • Help shape the future team structure and mentor additional technicians as we grow
  • Participate in on-call support on a limited, reasonable basis (shared as the team grows)
