This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of special and standard motor equipment, and responsibility for minor maintenance on the equipment. The employee must adequately drive and operate small and large trucks plus all types of heavy duty equipment used in the department such as a loader, packer, Link belt, roller, plow, backhoe, sweeper, Vactor, root cutter, compressor or Drott. The employee also performs a variety of manual labor tasks. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of a Foreman or other senior level employee and may provide lead supervision to Laborers and Motor Equipment Operators. The employee may be required to be on twentyâfour (24) hour call seven (7) days per week. Does related work as required.
