About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Mortgage Program Consultant within Home Lending. In this role, you will be responsible for developing business with external clients, leading or participating in developing and maintaining relationships with home builders to increase business and market share within a region. You will plan strategic activities, projects, and campaigns that directly support the optimization of efforts to grow revenue or profit in an assigned market with high complexity. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to compliance regulations and policies, resolve highly complex issues, and lead the team to meet Mortgage Program functional area business objectives. You will also select the best combination of channels to improve effectiveness and efficiency of coverage and meet the unique needs of assigned customers or business segments, collaborating and consulting with colleagues, managers, and external customers to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business with external clients
  • Lead or participate in developing and maintaining relationships with home builders to increase business and market share within a region
  • Plan strategic activities, projects, and campaigns that support the optimization of efforts to grow revenue or profit in an assigned market
  • Plan and execute moderately complex strategic initiatives within Mortgage Program functional area
  • Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and policies
  • Resolve highly complex issues and lead team to meet business objectives
  • Select best combination of channels to improve effectiveness and efficiency of coverage
  • Collaborate and consult with Mortgage Program function, colleagues, managers, and external customers

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Mortgage Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice-to-haves

  • 4+ years of Mortgage originations experience
  • Proven track record and experience in direct sourcing and prospecting new relationships
  • Existing local in-market network to fuel business development
  • Experience developing new business with home builders (Business-to-Business)
  • Experience developing relationships with Unions
  • Proven track record of experience in sales
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Strong communication skills
