About The Position
The Senior Mortgage Clerk at Chickasaw Nation Industries plays a crucial role in the processing and management of mortgage-related tasks, particularly in relation to USDA operations. This position is responsible for issuing appraisal and contractor payments on liquidation appraisal orders, processing mortgage loss mitigation servicing, and ensuring compliance with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996. The Senior Mortgage Clerk provides Guaranteed Loan Support services and customer service support, while also assisting the Mortgage Origination/Underwriting Auditor. Discretion and confidentiality are paramount in fulfilling the requirements of this role, as sensitive financial information is handled regularly. In this position, the Senior Mortgage Clerk will procure information from insurance companies via telephone, process tasks in LoanServ, and update insurance information accordingly. The role involves issuing payments to insurance companies, managing correspondence in the Electronic Customer File, and preparing global system notes in Sagent. Additionally, the clerk will research accounts, provide resolutions, and review and process debt settlement packets. The position also requires processing charge-offs, debt cancellations, and skip trace information, as well as indexing signed Ream agreements. The Senior Mortgage Clerk is responsible for supporting the SFH-Guaranteed Loan Program, processing loss claims in accordance with regulations, and providing detailed analysis and advice to management and customers. Customer service is a key component, as the clerk will assist lenders and servicers with inquiries via email and phone. Other duties include preparing UPS labels for mailings, data entry, imaging documents, and managing phone calls and emails from the centralized lender email account. The role also involves processing Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, planning daily activities to maximize output, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. The Senior Mortgage Clerk is expected to integrate CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, promoting a culture of compliance and integrity within the organization.
