About The Position

AV is looking for a highly talented Senior Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide senior technical and advisory assistance to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets Program Office by aiding in the refinement and implementation of MBSE design standards across a portfolio of products. What you will do: Serve as architect for implementation of the Government Reference Architecture MBSE solution across the Targets Program office Author process documents, develop template frameworks, and construct metric reporting methods to facilitate the execution of the MBSE solution to existing and future programs Use requirements analysis to create and maintain the (GRA) in Cameo Perform and lead systems engineering duties to elicit stakeholder requirements and mission needs Perform functional analysis using Model-based Systems Engineering techniques and tools Define requirements, perform functional analysis using Model-based Systems Engineering techniques and tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 20+ years of working on missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects Or, a Master's degree and 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • This position is working within a government facility and requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Experience with Cameo SysML
  • Expert Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE), preferably with direct experience working DoD Systems
  • Ability to train others on MBSE concepts and tools
  • Experience with languages used for architecture modeling (i.e. DoD Architecture Framework and (Unified Architecture Framework (UAF))
  • This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MDA programs and processes
  • Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems or hypersonic weapons
  • Hands-on experience with integrated requirements tools, such as DOORs NG
  • Exposure to MDA test events and activities
