About The Position

KBR is seeking a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you will: Key Responsibilities: Conduct and develop products in Working Groups that address the design/development, production, and integration of Space Control systems. Build an understand of the adversarial threats-based kill chains facing US space assets. Facilitate/develop/present resolution of issues related to system-of-systems integration. Develop and maintain mission architecture interface requirements for Space Control programs. Perform cross-mission area architecture development through the identification of potential synergies and efficiencies across multiple mission areas based off of existing roadmaps and SSC Program Directorate-developed architectures. Evaluate and characterize the known trade-space and ensure requirements mapping of newly developed enterprise-level cross-mission area architectures. Develop candidate architectures that resolve common functions into common/enterprise solutions and reduce the cost associated with acquiring and maintaining multiple systems to achieve the same function. Collect, analyze, and report on data collected during system-of-systems integration events.

Requirements

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • 10+ years of relevant technical experience in aerospace.
  • 7+ years of applied experience using Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) tools such as SPARX or CAMEO.
  • Independent problem solving with a variety of mission architecture systems engineering abilities, including knowledge and experience in requirements development and analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and program stakeholders and have robust written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Experience with classified programs.
  • Mission Engineering experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Space system design, development, production and acquisition.
  • Experience with technical mentorship.
  • Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Level 1 and 2.
