Allegion is looking for a passionate Senior Mobile Engineer to work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management.   • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for new and existing Allegion products.
  • Work closely with product management and other functional stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them to elegant implementation.
  • Collaborate with global teams for product development.
  • Conduct peer reviews for code and design.
  • Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the quality and process.
  • Serve as a mobility subject matter expert in the project.
  • Work autonomously while being an effective team player.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent in years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 to 7 Years of experience in Software Application Development.
  • Located in Colorado Metro Area.
  • Strong proficiency in native Android app development using Kotlin, with iOS development experience considered a plus.
  • Solid understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.) and design principles.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Experience in unit testing or Test-Driven Development (TDD) for mobile applications.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD.
  • Strong knowledge of software design, design patterns.
  • Experience in Rapid Prototyping.
  • Experience in Scrum and Agile Philosophy.
  • Thorough understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines.
  • At least one versioning tool experience (preferred Git).
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to relate to others demonstrated resourcefulness and flexibility, active participation in the decision-making process, ability to assess risk, and act with a sense of urgency.
