About The Position

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Developer to join our engineering team in our Boston office. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both iOS and Android development (or deep expertise in one and motivation to learn the other). We’re building an end-to-end encryption product, and our mobile apps are core to this offering. This position is hybrid, with two in-office days a week.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying mobile applications for commercial products.
• Strong understanding of native mobile development using Swift for iOS, and/or Kotlin for Android.
• Experience with mobile networking, RESTful APIs, and WebSocket communication.
• Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Quick).
• Understanding of App Store and Google Play deployment processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with cryptography and privacy-focused architectures, or a strong motivation to learn.
• Familiarity with functional reactive programming (e.g., ReactiveX).
• Previous work with data synchronization, across users and across devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain product features for our iOS and Android applications.
• Apply best practices for mobile app architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Write high-quality, testable, and reusable code using mobile best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes for mobile applications.
