About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to join the team in support of a development environment to help drive system innovation for related services and designing hybrid and native mobile applications with a focus on performance and security.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communications skills, both oral and written
  • Strong critical thinking skills that facilitate expedient problem solving
  • Expert in mobile development languages such as Swift, Java, or Kotlin
  • Proficient in cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Xamarin
  • Experience building native and hybrid mobile applications with a focus on performance and security
  • Skilled in UI/UX for mobile, following Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines
  • Strong understanding of backend integration using Node.js, Django, or similar frameworks
  • Should have proven experience with agile development methodologies and be able to lead project planning, estimation, and tracking efforts
  • Experience in the use and deployment of mobile applications
  • Current active IAT II certification with related mobile Computing Environment (CE) certification(s) to comply with DoD 8570 and DoD 8140.03 requirements
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D, 16 years w/HS Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with DoD mobile security requirements (preferred)
  • Experience deploying to iOS and Android enterprise app stores (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities associated with creating software across multiple functional areas and products.
  • Prioritizes and allocates projects, products, and resources with the assistance of architects and managers.
  • Participates in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the software products.
  • Directs software development projects to include, ensuring that projects are completed on time and according to quality standards, facilitating communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information.
  • Organizes projects through development of a project plan which includes communication of product goals as defined by top management, definition of project strategy, identification of the roles and responsibilities of key project groups, development of a schedule with key milestones, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of project resources.
  • Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.
