Senior ML/Data Engineer

About The Position

We're looking for an experienced ML/Data Engineer to take ownership of machine learning operations and model lifecycle management across Domino and Amazon SageMaker platforms. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring models are reliable, traceable, and production-ready—from development through deployment and monitoring. You'll work closely with data scientists, engineers, and governance teams to build scalable pipelines, implement experiment tracking, and uphold standards around model performance, explainability, and compliance. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on MLOps, platform integration, and model quality. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

Solid experience working with AWS, especially SageMaker in production environments
Strong Python skills with practical experience in ML development
Hands-on use of MLflow for experiment tracking and model lifecycle management
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines (training, validation, inference)
Familiarity with Domino Data Lab or similar ML platforms
Understanding of model evaluation techniques, including explainability and bias/fairness checks
Comfortable working with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Exposure to MLOps practices and deploying models across environments
Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
