Requirements

  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in MISO operations/planning
  • HQ Experience: Prior 4‑Star (theater) headquarters experience required
  • Skills/Expertise: MISO campaign planning, trans-regional synchronization, operational analysis, interagency/coalition coordination, strong written and briefing skills
  • Systems: Familiarity with DoD planning tools and relevant collaboration platforms

Nice To Haves

  • Prior COCOM/TSOC assignment experience
  • Experience with effects measurement and MISO metrics/KPIs
  • Familiarity with MDMP/JOPES processes and theater-level planning cycles
  • Experience with MISO product development and approval processes
  • Familiarity with OMEGA or similar MISO tracking systems

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational requirements and provide MISO campaign planning support and assessments.
  • Synchronize MISO themes, messaging, and activities across GCCs and trans-regional lines of effort.
  • Coordinate program-level integration and deconfliction of MISO activities with interagency, coalition, and COCOM/TSOC stakeholders.
  • Support development of CONOPS, OPLAN/OPORD inputs, annexes, and planning products.
  • Conduct effects assessment, metrics development, and reporting to senior leaders.
  • Provide staff-level briefings and recommendations to 4‑Star HQ leadership; prepare decision papers and status updates.
  • Support exercises, wargames, and campaign rehearsals; mentor junior planners/analysts.
