About The Position

Senior Mine Engineer (Coeur Mining, Inc.; Lovelock, NV): Apply engineering expertise to plan long-range mining operations. Utilize computer applications for mine design, modeling, mapping, and monitoring mine conditions. Track actual mining progress against planned production. Complete short-term mining plans to keep operations within budget and long-term plan. Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual mine and waste storage plans. Coordinate with Operations, Geology, and Survey groups to implement weekly and monthly mining plans. Plan and coordinate moderately complex mining projects, including estimation of capital and operating costs, design optimization, and mine infrastructure changes. Work with Maintenance and Purchasing departments to provide mining engineering expertise, and improve cost optimization. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.).

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.
• 3 years of experience with mine planning for open pit operations.
• Experience using mine planning software including Vulcan or Deswik.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience using spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Excel.
• Application of mine methods.
• Estimation and monitoring of mining costs and productivity.
