About The Position

Apogee Solutions, a woman-owned small business, is seeking a Senior Military Analyst / Deputy CIG in Fort Rucker, AL to support the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE), which is responsible for overall direction, guidance and execution of Aviation Branch functions related to Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) development, integration and synchronization. AVCOE maintains a total Army perspective in managing programs and keeps the Army leadership fully apprised of program status to include problems, which could affect the Army’s ultimate commitment to aviation programs. The Senior Military Analyst / Deputy CIG will support synchronization and dissemination of key strategic communication themes and messages to ensure consistent messaging across the Aviation enterprise.

Requirements

  • US Citizen with the ability to pass a background check, to include Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) fingerprint check and National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI)
  • Active, adjudicated SECRET Security Clearance documented in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Must have at least 20 years of experience as a Senior Planner/Military Analyst in Army Aviation
  • Must possess experience successfully developing executive (2-4 star level) briefings, speeches, information papers, and professional journal articles relating to Army aviation operations, training, doctrine, and program management
  • Must be able proof-read and edit the work of others to improve quality, and identify and correct errors
  • Must be able to interpret guidance and quickly incorporate changes into draft products to achieve timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, mission-driven settings while maintaining accuracy, discretion, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations
  • Possess strong business acumen and professional judgment, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be highly organized

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert business, analytical, and technical support to the AVCOE G-5, directly contributing to the achievement of its strategic goals.
  • Deliver support to the five core lines of effort – Aviation Enterprise Synchronization, Strategic Communication Alignment, Future Aviation Capability Input, Strengthened Foreign Liaison Program, and Proactive Strategic Planning Cycle.
  • Facilitate informed decision-making aligned with Army priorities and ensure continuity of support for Aviation Warfighters worldwide, spanning locations at Fort Rucker, AL, Fort Eustis, VA, and Fort Huachuca, AZ.
  • Assist in developing AVCOE strategic communication plans and coordinate messaging with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Prepare briefings, speeches, information papers, and articles for senior leaders, typically at the 2-4 star level.
  • Align messaging across various organizations to support Army aviation modernization initiatives, doctrine, and training.
  • Draft and edit high-level reports and documents that accurately reflect AVCOE activities and priorities.
