As part of our Microgrid Controls Team, you will design, develop, test, implement and commission Microgrid Control solutions consisting of Solar Photovoltaic (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Diesel/Natural Gas and Generators for our customers, using Automation Controllers, HMI's, Multi-function Protection Relays, and Data Concentrators from all major OEM's. You will work independently on assigned project tasks with support and guidance from the Program Manager and other Microgrid Controls team members. In this role, you will: Create, modify, test, and deploy software for Automation Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI's) for Microgrid applications. Follow customers, drawings and specifications and internal specifications for project implementation. Select components and create bill of materials. Prepare submittal documentation for projects and meet with customers to discuss project requirements and review submittals. Provide sketches, mark-ups, and direction to Electrical Designers to develop project drawings. Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation (SOO), and test procedures. Review DER vendor submittals and coordinate control requirements with vendors. Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
