ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supports hiring of Behavior and Developmental Specialists while coordinating with Human Resources and Administrative Assistants to assure all new employee documentation is accurate and complete. Supports the Mental Health Manager in the training process for newly hired Specialists and complete required training checklist. Conducts observations as needed in both EHS and HS classrooms, as directed. Attends staff/parent conferences, Classroom Consultations, BIRD reviews, and MDAT’s as needed. Models and teaches effective strategies that teachers are expected to adopt in their classrooms to support student behavioral needs, if needed and directed by Mental Health Manager. Identify, prioritize and keep inventory of materials and equipment needed in classrooms, therapy areas, and playgrounds, and coordinate with Mental Health Manager in making purchases. Monitors tracking of specialists caseloads. Oversees all aspects and updates of ASQ Online. Responsible for ChildPlus To-Do lists, which include but not limited to BIRD, Classroom Consultation, Behavior Refferals and 45-day screeners. Participates in community committee work as needed to enhance HS/EHS program. Drives strategic partnership development by cultivating new relationships and strengthening existing ones, with a focus on expanding MOUs that provide direct budgetary benefits to the program, including in-kind donations, shared resources, and cost-saving collaborations. Holds consistent Specialist one-on-one meetings. Maintains continuous communication with Mental Health Manager. Assures accuracy and approves subordinates’ timecards and submits documentation to Human Resources and finance departments. Provides training, assistance and communication to staff on a regular, on-going basis on policy, procedures, performance standards/best practices, operational guidance and behavioral expectations. Acts as an advocate and role model for Head Start families. Assists in the development and implementation of the annual training plan, including pre-service, in-service, T/TA, and ongoing training requirements. Attends and actively participates in training programs, staff meetings, and other meeting/trainings. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information. Maintains effective working interaction with coworkers and outside contacts that will enhance the operation of the Head Start program. Organizes and prioritizes all assignments as directed. Participates in ongoing monitoring, Community Assessment and Self-Assessment and performs reasonable related functions. Participates in regular safety, storm and fire drills. Submits reports, documents, and files as directed. Uses and follows the policies/procedures of Head Start, federal, state and local regulations/laws, and federal regulations/laws including the Head Start Performance Standards, applicable transmittal notices, and other administrative orders/directions. Uses and follows the policies/procedures of You Thrive Florida including but not limited to Personnel Policies, Occupational Health and Safety policies, payroll policies/practices, etc. NON-ESSENTIAL/SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Performs any additional duties as directed or assigned by supervisor, management staff, program director or You Thrive Florida management staff.
