About The Position

The Senior Member Service Representative is responsible for performing and troubleshooting a broad range of member service functions including teller transactions, opening and closing accounts, processing consumer and real estate loan applications, filing disputes, and responding to member questions or concerns. This role requires full knowledge of the Credit Union’s products and services, strong customer service and sales skills, personal finance knowledge, the ability to multi task, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two to three recent years of customer service and sales experience in a financial services environment
  • Professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Maintain working knowledge of all HFCU deposit and consumer loan products and services
  • Utilize operational systems to perform teller transactions, open new memberships and accounts, add new services, process loan applications, complete basic IRA processing, equity applications, and support basic mortgage inquiries
  • Apply HFCU policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to daily operations
  • Educate members on new technologies and digital tools offered by HFCU
  • Interact with members in a professional and courteous manner to assess financial needs
  • Identify opportunities to educate members and cross sell products and services
  • Apply Service Plus and TMA training to consistently meet service standards and performance metrics
  • Move beyond initial requests to offer additional solutions and financial guidance
  • Support both inbound and outbound member interactions
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals
  • Support other areas as needed to ensure overall member satisfaction
