About The Position
The Identity Engineering team at PayPal is tasked with providing robust Identity & Access Management capabilities for both PayPal users and partners. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and maintaining the identity and access management systems that underpin web applications and fundamental services. As a senior member of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, scalability, and efficiency of the identity infrastructure, aligning these systems with business objectives and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web application technologies, mobile devices, and identity management technologies, along with strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset. You will be expected to architect and implement solutions to complex problems, working in a fast-paced environment that follows agile methodologies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include engaging with multiple teams of talented engineers and architects to design and develop scalable, secure, and configurable identity solutions. You will actively collaborate with leadership across various departments to propose and refine new features and functionality. Additionally, you will communicate technical standards and methodologies to stakeholders, enhance system operational characteristics by establishing best practices, and identify opportunities for tech debt remediation. You will also engage with business teams to design and implement A/B tests, ensuring that you track business metrics and KPIs effectively. This role requires a self-starter who is passionate about identity technology and possesses effective communication skills.
