About The Position

The Senior Medical Science Liaison is a field-based role responsible for engaging with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders to disseminate scientific data, gather insights, and support medical strategies to improve patient outcomes. This position requires extensive travel within the Plains territory, which includes MN, IA, NE, ND, and SD, and involves building professional relationships and executing medical strategies at conferences.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD) or Master's degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a field-based medical science liaison (MSL) in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

  • Clinical, research, and/or teaching experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience executing activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs according to territory plans aligned with medical strategy.
  • Analyze and interpret complex scientific information and communicate it to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant manner.
  • Support Takeda-sponsored research and facilitate collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research processes.
  • Collect, interpret, and communicate medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform medical strategies.
  • Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
  • Participate in executing medical strategy at medical conferences, including staffing medical booths and communicating insights from interactions.
  • Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Complete all required customer activity documentation and administrative responsibilities accurately.
