About The Position

Under the Direction of the Medical Physics Director, responsible for the design optimization, technical evaluation and precise and accurate delivery of radiation plans, responsible for the safety of patients and staff. May participate in clinical, research and educational duties, supports and adheres to safety and compliance program to include OSHA, HIPAA and the Code of Ethics. Provide continuing physics support to the department of radiation oncology. Assist and provide coverage in areas of instrumentation, equipment calibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection, quality assurance, equipment selection and acceptance. Salaried position plus potential annual bonus.

Requirements

• Masters degree in a relevant field
• Therapeutic Radiological Physicist License
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a large radiation physics program
• Current certification in the field by American Board of Radiology or Board of Medical Physics
• Must maintain certification and continuing education requirements outlined by the American College of Radiology
• Valid license for medical physics as required

Nice To Haves

• PhD in physics from an accredited college or university preferred
• Experience with multiple machine modalities and services
