About The Position

Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist at Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR. Full-Time/Day Shift - working Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm $5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. The Senior Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist position is responsible for accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results and in-depth technical/ theoretical knowledge of instruments and methodologies. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology
• National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists
• National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts
• National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology
• National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology
• National Laboratory Tech - United States Government
• In compliance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) criminal background check and fingerprinting may be required for position, based on assigned duties. Involves only those positions at PPMC operating the blood irradiator machine.
• 5 years clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory.
