About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Medical Director to join our Clinical Development team. This critical leadership role will provide clinical direction across one or more programs in early and/or late-stage development, while also representing Clinical Development in business development activities. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, scientifically rigorous, and passionate about bringing innovative therapies to patients. With responsibilities spanning clinical strategy, medical monitoring, cross-functional collaboration, and external engagement, this individual will play a key role in driving enterprise goals forward. Depending on business needs, this role may include mentorship and management of clinical scientists.

Requirements

  • MD (or equivalent) with 10+ years of academic/industry experience, including 5+ in biotech/pharma.
  • Proven track record in trial design, execution, and medical monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of GCP/ICH and regulatory guidelines; FDA interaction experience.
  • Skilled in data review tools (e.g., Rave, J-Review, Spotfire).
  • Recognized within the medical/scientific community with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable in cross-functional, fast-paced environments; able to travel up to 30%.

Nice To Haves

  • Board-certified in Medical Oncology.
  • Experience across Phases 1–3 of clinical development.
  • Involvement in business development or due diligence, especially in oncology, neurology, or immunology.
  • Global regulatory experience outside the U.S.
  • Background in basic or translational research.

Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical strategy and execution for early- and late-stage programs.
  • Serve as medical monitor and oversee data review and clinical documentation.
  • Build KOL relationships, lead advisory activities, and support external publications.
  • Present findings to leadership and mentor clinical team members as needed.
  • Represent Clinical Development in business development and due diligence efforts.
  • Provide clinical input for new targets, strategic planning, and internal initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and support alliance integration with partners.
  • Act as a clinical resource for internal teams and study sites.
