About The Position

The Senior Medical Director of Enterprise Quality will play a pivotal role in CVS Health's management of quality initiatives and oversight. Reporting to the Chief Quality and Safety Officer of CVS Health in the Medical Affairs department, you will lead the oversight of enterprise quality reporting, management develop business partnerships to accomplish improvement initiatives, and overall clinical excellence. In this role you will work with teams across the CVS Health enterprise to lead quality governance structure, implement quality initiatives, monitor their success of initiatives, champion quality and safety culture and mentor teams to make improvements to achieve clinical quality and excellence. The Senior Medical Director - Enterprise Quality will leverage clinical expertise and expertise in quality, safety and process improvement to drive high quality, high value care. You will, in addition, manage a team to support this work, including a Medical Director and Senior Manager. This is a work from home, remote based role, and can be based anywhere in the US.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role focused on quality improvement.
  • Managing a team.
  • Analytics, data interpretation and display.

  • High level organizational and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with clinical teams to develop and enforce clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Leads, develops, directs and implements clinical and non-clinical activities that impact health care quality, cost and outcomes.
  • Monitors and analyzes quality metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provides clinical leadership and expertise in the development of quality improvement strategies.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care.
  • Mentors and develops clinical staff in quality improvement methodologies.
  • Leads, develops, directs quality governance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
