Working within the context of an interdisciplinary team setting, assigns ICD-10-CM diagnostic and CPT-4 procedure codes as appropriate for including but not limited to Primary Care, Radiology, Laboratory medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonary Medicine, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Rheumatology, Gerontology, Orthopedic Surgery, Physical and Occupational Therapy for the purpose of accurate reimbursement, research, and compliance with all applicable regulations. Diagnoses and procedures are coded utilizing International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) and Current Procedure Terminology (CPT) classifications. Mentor Junior Medical Coders as necessary.
