Skilled Wound Care, a leading national surgical physician group servicing nursing homes for wound care, ostomy care, and minor skin care, is looking to hire a Senior Medical Billing Manager Must be located locally within Los Angeles. Office is located in Playa Vista, CA. We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Medical Billing Manager to take full ownership of our revenue cycle. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader responsible for maximizing revenue, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of all insurance claims, and maintaining rigorous compliance with all regulatory standards. This role is critical in optimizing cash flow and driving the financial health of our group. Key Responsibilities Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Leadership: Oversee and manage the entire revenue cycle, from patient registration and charge capture to payment posting, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal errors. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding standards (e.g., CPT, ICD-10) to minimize compliance risk. Accounts Receivable (A/R) Strategy: Proactively analyze A/R, develop and execute strategies to aggressively manage denials, and collaborate with insurance providers to resolve complex claims and accelerate collections. Team Development and Supervision: Lead, mentor, and supervise the medical billing staff. Provide ongoing training, conduct performance reviews, and continuously improve billing workflow and team efficiency. System and Technical Proficiency: Leverage extensive experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and specialized medical billing systems to streamline processes and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Qualifications Experience: 5+ Years of progressive experience in medical billing, with a demonstrated history of successful supervisory or management roles. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered). Certifications (Preferred): Possession of a relevant professional certification, such as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) . Skills: Deep expertise in revenue cycle processes and financial reporting. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to interpret and apply complex billing and coding regulations. Advanced proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems. Requirements
