We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Mechanical Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical maintenance, strong troubleshooting abilities and leadership skills to mentor junior team members. Responsible for leading and executing preventive maintenance activities on mechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Collaborating with maintenance and operations teams to improve maintenance processes. This role ensures equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan. This position is suited for experienced maintenance professionals seeking to lead maintenance efforts, improve equipment reliability, and contribute to operational excellence.

  • Plan, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Lead and mentor junior maintenance technicians, providing training and guidance on maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, and documentation for equipment history and compliance.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance activities with minimal impact on production.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in developing and refining preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Support and participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure personnel follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in training programs to develop technical skills and knowledge.
  • May require standing, walking, lifting, and working in various physical conditions.
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanical maintenance is a plus.
  • 5+ Years of experience working on mechanical systems
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Physical capability to perform manual maintenance tasks, including lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Technical diploma, certification, or equivalent in mechanical or related field.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
