About The Position
This position is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will work on various projects as part of the NS&E engineering execution center team. The projects that will be assigned involve government work through various sectors, including DOD and DOE. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving skills, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs. In this role, you will lead design development of Mechanical systems and equipment (including HVAC and Fire Protection) for project(s) by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, material requisitions, engineering specifications, data sheets, evaluation, and more in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. The engineer will work with other mechanical engineers, other disciplines/functions, and/or the client. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure the unique and complex requirements of a project's mechanical aspects are met. This role will be based in Knoxville, TN with periodic business travel, as required.
