About The Position

Brady is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work in our Murray, Utah office location. The individual filling this position will lead projects or modules for healthcare or industrial products. This includes managing a broad range of engineering tasks within the category and delegating work to more junior level engineers. The role involves mentoring and instructing junior engineers on industry standards and internal best practices, designing and innovating in the product category utilizing mechanical engineering skills, and working directly as a 3D modeler, designer, and physical part tester. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will create and present detailed updates to upper management and work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines, marketing, sourcing, and various other groups. The position requires performing numerous mechanical engineering tasks from initial design to prototyping and testing to final product release.

Requirements

  • Must take projects from industrial design concept through engineering to product release.
  • Work with manufacturing to identify issues on existing products requiring revisions while driving new product development.
  • Utilize mechanical engineering tools including Solidworks, rapid prototyping, laser cutting, and more.
  • Work with project management to maintain project budgets, timelines, and targets.
  • Design for ingress protection and drop resistance.
  • Utilize a broad understanding of mechanical engineering principles related to plastic injection molding and complete and review tolerance stacks for multi-component mechanisms.
